Holiday Wishes From Mr. Red & Ms. Peach

Holiday Wishes From Mr. Red & Ms. Peach - 12/21/09 10:10 PM

One last "card", this one is actually our email card and is an outtake from the 2010 Calendar Shoot. The pups are now 5 1/2 weeks old and all are hovering around 10 lbs. -- well, actually Mr. Blue is hovering quite a bit above that but the normal-sized puppies are right around it. They're in the family room now getting used to a new pen and actually being able to see outside for the first time. They are curious, playful, love to be held and the most prolific poop-producers in the history of puppydom . But we love them. Not much longer until they go to their new homes so for Christmas 2009, wishes for much happiness from Mr. Red and Ms. Peach. And their grandparents Linda and me.

You are going to keep them all, aren't you? They are really growing and handsome pups.

And it appears that they are going to try to qualify for the Olympic Synchronized Pooping Team. They are master of the simul-poop . This is when the work is hard. After 6 weeks or so and they start going outside, the process of house-breaking starts. But for now, we are grateful for our shares of Scott Paper stock since sales of paper towels have skyrocketed in recent weeks .

Wow look at the muzzle on the one on the left. I suspect that's the boy? What a bruiser. Very cute.

Yes, Mr. Red is one of the two boys and he's very nice. Mr. Blue, his big brother, is almost a lb. heavier and very nice as well. We have no idea at this point in time who will be the "picks" of this litter but we're very happy with all the puppies overall. They love people and really want to be held. They are very well-balanced and very consistent top-to-bottom. When you love them totally, it's real hard to be objective about an entire litter of puppies.

Now that they can be stacked and moved, we'll find out more about which are the "show" puppies and which are "pets". In this bunch, I suspect we'll have pretty high standards which will be met across the board. But once we've done our evaluations, we'll let you know.

From a personal standpoint, I love these kids. They are just so sweet and so into people. Which, of course, is our overall objective.
