Taking on the studio adventure

Taking on the studio adventure - 04/21/10 05:13 PM

Hi everyone. I have posted here a long time a ago, but I left because I just didn't have the time. Back then I took an interest in studio work, but I got frusterated. I am now ready to take on this challenge very seriously.

I am looking forward to getting as much info and feedback as possible. I am very impressed with the work that the people on this board are producing, and I find it very encouraging.

I have been shooting for a publication (non studio) for about 4 years now, and I would be happy to help anyone in any way.

Looking forward to sharing ideas and thoughts with everyone.

Hey Brian,

I thought your name looked familiar when I was approving your account. Welcome back.

Here are my first couple shots in the studio. Can anyone see any glaring weakness or things I am doing wrong?

Those are nice. I think I would put a little more light on the dog, and a lot more light on the background. The angle that you are shooting on that last one results in chopping the feet off. Good luck on your new adventure. Pretty puppy, and a great start.

Thank you for the comments. Do you mean more light on the background in #1 or #2?

Hey Brian
How about an update? How are you doing with your studio work?

I shoot almost all of my dog portraits in a studio. I'm just now seeing this but I'll be glad to give you my two cents if you're still looking for input.
