Hi Everyone,

Meet Jethro. Jethro is my sibling's newest addition to the family. A double pawed tabby with 28 toes (look at #4 for those really big feet!).

Aww, how cute!

Do the paws cause any trouble down the road that you know of?

Hey Jim,

No. Polydactyls are quite common in the New England area. Having said that, this guy has 28 toes...that is quite some number. When he walks, particularly the right hind leg, you can see that he feels slightly encumbered by his over-large feet. Interestingly though, he uses is front paws more like hands than most cats I have encountered. it is cool to watch.

Oh how cute! we used to have a lot of polydactyl kittens on our farm after someone gave us one, some had 8 toes per foot. Your kitten has a rather wild look to the face, extremely cute.

Thanks, Guys, for the kind words. It was relatively meat-ball lighting because it was a lot of work handling this wild little guy. VERY cute - but definitely wild. :P

I keep a bottle of catnip spray in the studio -- sometimes it helps!
