Arab Stallion

Arab Stallion - 03/03/11 02:27 AM

Just got back from a wonderful visit to AZ. The Scottsdale Arabian horse show was wonderful. Many of the visitors complaining of cold weather but they were not from Chicago. Lovely horses and this stallion was one of my favorites.

Is there anything quite so beautiful and mythical in this world as an Arabian Stallion? I think not... lovely image. I love the POV on this...

I just love the expression on his face. Stately, yet comical all at the same time.

Very nice! Are you going to make this into a glass project?

James, this one is headed for the easel and will be an oil painting. I have hundreds of horse shots that I can play with and hopefully do those beautiful creatures justice.
Just fired the kiln last night and will be doing more dog things with glass and photography combined.
Were you able to get around to vendors at Westminster and see what was being exhibited?

Thanks Lesley, and yes I agree with you. I could stare at them all day. Better than a fish tank for me! Although I just let mine outside and they rolled in mud. A grey covered in mud is not so inspiring!

With a passion for horses and photography, your shot of this magnificent Arabian stallion certainly caught my fancy. I love the angle and shallow DOF. I am always taking pictures and horses are among my favorite subjects.

This image was taken when they presented two stallions (one is the head shot) and the tension was high! Amazing display. Now I am not sure if I love this image for the right reasons. Although I did not put this in the critique department - I would be interested in any comments on where I am going with this image.
