Meet Foxy

Officially, she's a foster, but in reality she's auditioning for the position of Doggy #5 at the Poorhouse.

Going back to five is a big step for us. It puts us at our legal limit zoning wise which means we can't bring any more home.

She's been with us a week and was spayed the day before I picked her up.

Of course, being the new dog on the block, she has the unenviable title of "test subject."

Here's my first attempt at working with a texture. I kept it really, really subtle I hope.

On a related note, I just re-calibrated my monitors to a new lab's specs and the difference when viewed on my uncalibrated monitor is HUGE, much bigger than my previous profiles. I'm wondering how the color looks on your monitors, calibrated and not.

She is so cute! Has a great smile on her face that just warms your heart and those eyes are terrific. Hope she makes it to the forever home in your house.

The tiny little thing slept on my pillow most of last night. When she wasn't there, she was burrowed under the covers snuggled up to one of us.

Even with a California King bed, it gets a bit crowded around here when all five decide to forsake their doggy beds. laugh

That's awesome, Jim!!! Foxy is really adorable. LOL, how do you make it work with so many doggies? I feel like I am out matched by half by Doggess #1!

Knock on wood, we've been very lucky in being chosen by dogs that just fit well together. Growing up, my family had five and my uncle's family had five. We were often all together with 10 so 5 is easy for me. Five is Tammy's absolute limit though.

A wonderful picture and perfectly matched and I hope she becomes a permanent member of your family - you do her great justice in your photography skills! As a pet lover with a weakness for dogs (and cats), I love this portrait with so much love and happiness. I am developing my skills in pet photography, so am very interested in seeing other work to admire.

All indications are that she's staying. However, she did eat one of Tammy's new shoes (less than a month old) and ended up on the naughty list for a few hours!

She's adorable, Jim, and I hope you keep her. Five is a number that's right at the "just manageable" mark for us. We currently have 4 but have been as high as 7. We were much younger then smile. But if you have the room and can manage the household, then it's just 5 times as much fun.

Looking at getting a new Rottie girl over the next few months and adding from the outside which we haven't done in a long time. Tough decision for us. Also, thinking of breeding another litter in the Spring and keeping a boy. Sigh. We'll see. Five may be that "magic" number!!
