upcoming exhibit - 06/10/11 08:12 AM

I would really appreciate your time and expertise if possible. I'm going to submit 20 pics to a web site jury for possible selection in an upcoming exhibit, and I can't seam to make a selection from these fall shots .
Would you mind rating them 1-5 and add any critique you want.

Thanks Randall

The last one stands out quite a bit for me. I love the white barked tree that already has lost all its leaves intermixed with the yellows, reds and oranges. In #4 it doesn't feel like much of a focus point in the scene, maybe cause the shore line starts leading my eyes away from it, when they really just want to stay on the left.

This image is the standout for me as well. The composition is unbalanced for the other shots and while the colors are great, they do not make the most of the scene available.

The last one tightened up the frame and really tells the "story".

The top picture of the other Red Tree, if you could have isolated it a bit and maybe even caught its reflection would have been a top contender as well.

Thanks Tyler ,what made me concerned was my wife didn't like the "dead" tree , but I thought it helped tell the story.

Thank you Roman I appreciate your commenting, I agree with you the third photo was suppose to be just what you suggested also, but our boat was moving right along and we were really photographing eagles and Ospreys and I didn't have the time to change lens and do it right sometimes you miss the right opp and never get it again.
Thanks Randall

I like the second one. I like how all of the trees, both right and left, seem to be leaning so slightly toward or over the river. the river is kind of an "off" color which also adds interest.
