If you have photos on another site and it has the embed code, don't you just copy and paste it into the post? I tried that and it didn't seem to work so I posted the links instead, which turned out to be a pain ^^ Any tips? Or is there a way to use the UBB Code?

Hey Adam,

The typical way of embedding a photo goes like this (minus the asterisks in the image tags:

[*image*]http://www.yourdomain/yourdirectory/yourfile.jpg[*/image]

If the files are protected, it gets a bit harder. Perhaps some of the folks who have smugmug, etc will be able to share their experiences with those servers.

SmugMug is easy. Just navigate to the image you want to share and click on the <Share> icon. It is the middle button on the right side, just above your photo. Select <Get a Link> from the drop down menu.

On the sharing page, scroll down to DIRECT PHOTO LINKS: and select the size image to link to.

This is Medium:

This is Large:

BTW, leave out the asterisks in the HTML tags to post your picture. The asterisk is just a way to have the link show up as text rather than function as an actual link.

Looking forward to seeing your work.

Another of the many Jim's here.
