That's pretty awesome. What does it look like full size? I find that anything above ISO 1600 and I am pretty dissatisfied with my 5dii.

Jim ... love the colors ... purrrrdy

JamesM ... there's a trick to high ISO on the Canon's, at least up to 12800, 25600 still sucks LOL

when pushing it up there, only shoot JPG ... RAWs are ugly
under your custom functions there is one that says something like (going from memory here) high ISO noise reduction = strong ... this applies in camera noise reduction only to your JPGs and is a life saver!!

I live on this on my 50D's and a new assistant showed up with a 5DMII Saturday with a f/4 lens (he thought 400mm was better than a 200mm f/2.8 for agility ... boy, did I learn him) anyway, on my 50D's I am always shooting ISO 6400 to 12800 on JPG ... just discovered LR3 can reduce enough noise on the 12800's that they are presentable ... but still like to stay at 6400 if I can

Hi James,
It looks pretty darn good full size. There is a bit of noise in the bluest area and in the darker shadows, but that's pretty normal.

I think we all get caught up too much in noise when we pixel peep on screen. Unless it's REALLY bad, noise just doesn't show up in prints.
