I've learned a lot here and very much enjoy this forum. Not sure why, but it seems time to participate rather than just observe.

The above image from a long weekend trip last fall to commune with the Bristlecone Pine in the White Mtns. Camped at Grandview Cmpgrnd, which is quite convenient to the trees. The last morning I awoke to an inch of snow and heavy fog (~20ft visibility), so packed it up and headed down the mountain. As I rolled out of the clouds this view of Big Pine and the Sierras revealed itself. Not too shabby an ending.

I've no "real" website. But the Apple mobileme thing is pretty convenient. Some more of the images from the Bristlecone Pine trips and a couple others are here: http://gallery.me.com/russellejacobs#gallery

Hi Russell & Welcome. The area around Big Pine is beautiful and you have captured it well. You have some nice shots at The Narrows on your site as well.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
