Hey Ronn,

Welcome to the forum. I had to go through your pbase links a few different times before they all registered. Some of the photos are very nice. I particularly like the Southern Yellow Billed horn-bill and the zebra located in the other gallery.

How long were you there for?

Cheers,
James

Hi James, I haven't figured out how to post pics on here as yet and pbase has crashed big time apparently, but thanks for having a look.

I was in South Africa for about 2 1/2 weeks back in Mar/Apr this year. It was truly a grand adventure. I've only posted a few pics so far.... have hundreds to sort through and eventually have some prints made, etc.

My 3 1/2 year old E-1 performed without a hitch... but we expect that !

Hey Ronn,

Posting pics here is often difficult for folks the first time they do it. It is not hard though. At the bottom of the post screen, there are a few UBB hyperlinks. One says 'image.' If you click on that, it will ask for a URL. All you have to do is type in the URL (or copy and paste which insures accuracy) and the image will be displayed in the text of the message.

Cheers

I paisted the URL, but that just gave the url (above).

I'll try the UBB hyperlink next time.

Thanks again.

Tried your suggestion....... do you mean the url in the address box ? ... or "properties" of the image perhaps?

Hi.

I'm going to Kruga for Christmas. It's not a photo holiday as I'm with the family ;-(

Besides the obvious 'big 5' (which sounds too touristic for me, what should I be looking out for?

Thanks,Dave

There isn't much I would call touristy in the wilds of Kruger Park. So much "not" so, you are not allowed out of your auto except on guided (armed) tours. And I do recommend you do that... by all means sign up for an all day hike (wish I had done more).

I'm in the middle of a move, but when I'm settled I'll post a few more pertinent facts for you... in the meantime, you can view a few pics I have posted so far online here:

Hey Ron,

Not sure what the deal is. How you did it above is exactly how it is supposed to happen. The odd thing is that we have lots of folks who have pbase who are able to make this happen.

I tried to post Ron's shot onto the forum using the processes that I have used on my shots, but I got the same result as Ron... strange. I then deleted that post since it did not work.

I thought that if I could do it and then explain how I did it it would help, but to no avail...
