Pelican eating its young?

Of course she really isn't. In fact it's the other way round. It's chick season again out at the San Diego wild animal
park again and this White-backed Pelican mother is letting her chick feed.

The White-breasted Cormorants were also the proud parents of a couple of fluffy chicks.

Hey George,

This is a great series - really all of them are pretty cool. The 2nd of the 3 is my favorite in the series.

Hey Guys,

This was a 'grab shot' that I had the opportunity to take while photographing the elephant seals. I have never seen anything like it. I know the light is a bit harsh, but I still really like this shot. I am still curious to know what that dark spot in the water was...sigh, just when I felt safe to go back in the water. :P

Cheers,
James

George,

Great series. I like the second shot a lot.

Jim,

Nice Pelicans; I don't know what the dark spot is, but I suspect a Loch Ness monster, only without the Loch and without the Ness.
