Schooner on Atlantic Ocean

Schooner on Atlantic Ocean - 09/04/08 12:36 PM

Chanthee and I were in Acadia National Park this last week. While there photographing Bass Harbor's light house (link: http://www.nwpphotoforum.com/ubbthreads/...7130#Post17448), we saw this schooner on the ocean. The sky was really orange and I thought it made for an interesting photo opportunity - even with the schooner being so far away.

Sometimes the sky color itself can be so interesting, you certainly have proved it with your shot. Here are a couple shots that I've taken recently that also use sky color to help develope an interesting subject:

3 great shots. Really like the 2nd in particular, the composition of it & the setting Sun with the clouds across it + also the lone Gull on the right hand side.

Jeepers, Nolad, you did a great job on these. You have improved so much since you started posting here a couple of years ago. It is great to see.
