At Bosque and it was still dark this is a 15 second exposure, it just blew me away when I got home and I saw it on the monitor.

Nice shots all, I'll share some too.

Where do I start? - 12/26/08 06:26 PM

Well....will try to limit them.

This one I just took yesterday...

A Cityscape from a few weeks ago...

A fall pano I have been waiting all year to capture with the D300...

Some work from Smith Rock....

And last....a wonderful morning by myself in the tulip beds...

Its kind of hard to narrow it down to a few....even if I didnt get as much done as I have wanted last year.

Hey Guys,

Thanks all so far for sharing. It is a spectacular thread!! James, your photos are still not showing up after two days.

Roman - Misty Blue just blows my mind. It is absolutely beautiful. On the Moon Lit Max Ride Pano, is the moon PS'd in? Very nice regardless!

Thanks....I shot the pano in several diffrent shots....5 to make for the night lit city scene....then put on the 70-200 to shoot the moon at the proper exposure and then shrink down and paste over the origonal moon that was made smaller due to the wide angle lens. The moon is the same size as you would have seen if you were standing where I was standing by the naked eye....but the longer exposure to capture the citys details made the clouds surrounding the moon much brighter...

I'm glad that I really have a lot of favorites this year because it means I've been fortunate enough to be doing what I like to do best.
Here are a few of the ones that are germane to this forum.

This one if my most popular stock photo.

This one is also pretty popular

This one always makes me want to hook up the trailer and go

This is my mega 360 pano at the dunes at Death Valley. Pan right .........

And another from Death Valley

And an elegant duo. This one was POTD at Image Resources on Dec 21 last week.

Tow things:

the image tag is usually [img] when entered manually rather than [image]. Also, with PBASE images you normally need to add /original.jpg

Here is a test in which I edited the link as I talk about above. As you can see, it works this way.

Really nice pic by the way!

Jim Poor,

Actually [image] is the correct tag. Where James went wrong was somehow he put a set of tags around some non-image text which freaked the web software.

The offending lines from his original post were

Quote:

Nice shots all, I'll share some too.

Snowbasin Mt., Utah - I find the clouds intereaction with the mountain itself appealing.

[imagexx]Nice shots all, I'll share some too..jpg[/imagexx]

I put the "xx" in to block the tags. Without that line the other images display normally as shown below using the original text from James original post. BTW James, great images.

Interesting. I've always used "img" maybe they are interchangeable?

I especially like the first one!

Here's a few from the July 4th parade in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Best small town parade I've ever seen.

Re: Favorite Photo - 08 Where do I start? - 12/30/08 12:30 AM

Wow, where to start. I thought I’d select from images taken during my favorite 10 days of photography this year. The trouble is there are over 20,000 images from those 10 days. That’s after culling.

Some are favorites because of who I was with and where I was. Some are favorites because they have “a message.” Others, I just like.

I had a bit of a time narrowing them down, so I went with smaller and more rather than larger and less.

This is one with a message:
