Nice job!
It is very hard to control exposure of colorful birds in bright light.

I see you were at 800mm. What lens did you use?

Sorry for the late answer to your question, I was up in Yellowstone again.

The lens is an old Nikon 800/5.6 ED IF AIS lens. It's manual focus so I do miss some shots but it gives me reach at a price I could afford.

Really beautiful shots. I love bird pics. Never seen this breed before. I know I am late posting, but hey, better late than never! LOL. Been a while since I visited here. Kind of slow, but the shots people post are simply excellent.

Wow that is some kind of looker! Nice bird and Great shots.

And an 800/5.6, way to reach out and touch someone!! No wonder the little guy doesn't appear to even know you are there:)
