Ostrich

Took this on a recent visit back home to South Africa.

Not the prettiest of birds!

But they have a lot of character, and they are pretty feisty critters too. I maintain a respectful distance and keep jewelry and other shiny objects hidden when they are around. Had one try to get into my car at a wildlife park in Germany once.

Interesting expression. He/she looks rather annoyted but I did enjoy seeing the picture. Thank you for sharing.

Great shot, I've seen these in South Africa as well, they are a beautiful but strange looking bird.

Nice portrait, makes you wonder how the feathers/hairs on it's head would feel.
