A few winter Badlands shots.

We took a few days to wander the main road in the Badlands. (South Dakota)
There was quite a bit of wildlife moving around, the road was pretty much empty,
so you could take your time to get the shots you wanted.

We saw coyotes, prairie dogs, hawks, eagles, buffalo, and bighorns.

The bighorns were the most photogenic.

All shots taken with a Canon 5DMKII, with a Canon 100-400 lens.

The sheep in the last photo is actually one ram and two young ewes. Female sheep have horns also, they are just not as long nor as thick and curled as the male. The male sheep is in scolding mode and is about to herd his females from doing something that they did or he doesn't want them to do. Excellent shots davev, which I had shots like these.

Are you sure about that?
Those are the same two that are lying down in the other shot, and all three of them in this shot.
