These were almost backlit behind a thin cloud cover with a foot of snow still on the ground, I just exposed for the birds and was kinda surprised at the results, D300 500 f4 + 1.4 tc cropped about 50 % I was back there today and saw 6 mature and 2 immature birds but the clouds are gone and just couldn't get the exposure right today. So I guess I gotta go back !

Yes the fully white sky really made for a cool overall effect! Beautiful. I think that center one, cropped a bit on the sides to a vertical layout, would be a very cool print.

Thanks everyone, I have toyed with cloning out some of the branches in #2 behind the bottom eagle just haven't finished it yet.

Hey Gary,

As usual, very nice work. That last shot is really quite nice, though I also really like the interaction in #2 as well.
