Mojave Desert Coyote

Howdy, This 'ote was stumbling through the small semi-ghost town of Kelso, CA which is located smack dab in the middle of the Mojave National Preserve. His left front paw is damaged somehow so I'm sure he was not long for this life. He stumbled over towards my direction where he was met with the whir of the motor-drive. He ambled off after a spell when he figured I was no match and I wasn't givin' away food. Never feed wild animals! Thanks for lookin'!

Aww, makes me sad. If I see an injured animal I wonder about it for days.
