Although there were 9 total in this one tree, these seemed to be more experienced at posing.
Here in (around) Cleveland Ohio, only two may be three pair of Eagle nesting, so very rearly can be see them.
A pair of eagle took over a Heron nest just right above a paved all purpose trail in a Cuyahoga Valley N.P.
To prevent the people to watching the eagles, there was a ranger around all time to give a fine to everyone who stop to take a look on a nest! They let the people walk on a trail under the nest, but to stop and look at the nest wasn't allowed. This is a free country! You can do whatever you wa... no whatever a goverment let you do! Basicly NOTHING!
You can't even watching the eagles not to photographing them!
In Alaska also illegal to stop to watching Eagles?

Lovely Dave, I like the muted autumn colors in the background. The bottom left one, I assume it is a juvenile, but why so white? I thought they were all pretty much dark until they turned 2 yrs old?

Hi Penny, most of them are dark/mottled but a few show more white than others. You are correct and after the 2-3 years they will be the typical eagle color...er lack of it (B&W).
Thanks, see ya...
Hey David,
Thanks for sharing. This is very nice.

Thanks Marie, wait for another month and I'll post more eagle shots as they congregate. Thousands gather along the Chilkat River for a late spawning of Salmon every year.

Im so jealous of the wildlife you guys have over there, the wildlife in the UK is so boring in comparison. I got excited about seeing a fox the other day!!!
Is it safe to be around birds like these? Do they ever attack humans?
