The Best of Costa Rica

I was flipping through my copy of the field guide for the birds of Costa Rica the other day and started to get really excited for the photography workshop that I am leading there in March. I thought I would put together a post of some of my favourite Costa Rican birds. There are tonnes more on my website if anyone is interested.

If you haven't been to Costa Rica it is a must!

Beautiful photos Glenn! I have a good friend who lives in Atenas, Costa Rica. She is always inviting me down to visit. Her place is a lighthouse on the west coast, above the clouds. The photos she shares are just stunning. No backgrounds for her, she has to look down to the surrounding mountain tops.

These are excellent Glenn, having been to Costa Rica I can share your excitement.
If you like bird photography, other places that have great birds are South Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea three places we have enjoyed wildlife and scenery.

some of the best bird photography I've seen in a long time. Great stuff! Makes me want to go there but I doubt I could come close to the images you've captured. Thanks for sharing.
