The Elephant Trunk

The Elephant Trunk - 03/28/11 03:51 AM

My friend, Keny, and I went to the Valley of Fire after our workshop in Death Valley ended. I had some hours to kill before the plane would go off, and my friend was kind enough to drive us back and forth from Vegas. :P. This rock is called the "Elephant's Trunk."

It was taken with the Sigma SD15 and 24-70mm lens.

Thanks, Marie. We were fortunate that we had a bunch of clouds to shoot under as it was mid-day. Not a bad way to spend the last hours before hopping on a plane, as far as I am concerned! I have been to the Valley of Fire on many occasions, but this is the first time I have had the opportunity to go find the Trunk.

Nice shot, it's nice when things work out.
