Four of a Kind - (foxes)

Posted By: naturezone

Four of a Kind - (foxes) - 06/17/11 06:41 AM

These fox kits were checking me out from the safety of their den... It didn't take long before they forgot about me and started playing in the nearby grass.

Photographed near Helena, MT using a Canon 7D and Canon 300mm f2.8 lens.

Karl,
That is one amazing photo. I just love the way they lined up. One could not have posed them any better. One ear, in front of the other, in front of the other, and in front of the other!!! It's true that great nature photography takes plenty of patience and lots of luck. You must have it in spades!

Good work.

Thanks for all of the nice comments everyone! I didn't expect this one to come back 4 months after I originally posted it, even though it's one of my favorite shots from last spring.

I set-up under a blind near the den before sunrise, then waited until the kits came out. One by one, these four came out - each lining up beside the other. Patience... and luck. The fun was watching them play for the next 2 hours!!!

Thanks again!
