Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird - 09/05/11 02:23 PM

A few shots taken over the past few weeks of some hummingbirds near my house in South Carolina.

I haven't been around in a while and I must say, nice job with the website!

Camera: Olympus E-5
Lens: ZD 300 f/2.8 with a 1.4 Tele Converter

Great shots smile I am in South Carolina as well. My mom has a hummingbird that frequents her yard and I have been trying to get him for a week now. He is out every morning when I drop my son off and I just cannot seem to focus in time.

Tom,

Really nice photos. I really like the one of it perched. I don't know when, if ever, I have studied the beauty of a hummingbird's chest feathers... until now.

Thanks, Doug

They are very fast and takes some practice to catch them but, the good side is that they are like little clocks. They come back about every 10 minutes for more of that sweet stuff smile

Thanks for looking,
Tom
