Headed out the other day for some moose. Hiked my favorite spots but NO moose. so, I hit the bush and after tromping through the bush for about an hour, I finally found one. Just an average bull, for this area, but he gave me a workout. sometimes a guy just finds them right off the bat, sometimes it takes some effort. I guess if they stood around all day everyday they would become boring. . . all material posted by me is copyrighted and use without my permission violates the law.

Here's the shot. . . nikon d200, 200-400afs, shot at 400, iso 400, f/4, 1/250sec VR on, shot from monopod. never would you get that shot at 1/250 on a mono pod, after bucking the brush, WITHOUT the superior VR of the 200-400, it's amazing.

Looks like he's wondering what that crazy thing behind him is.
Nice shot, some times tromping through the brush is worth it.

It always pays off for me. Even if I dont shoot anything I always learn something about my prey and or, get a workout. And in grizz country the more you know about the habits of the animals, the better . . .

That is an awesome shot. Moose are one of my favorite animals, not sure why, they just are so homely they are beautiful.
