This is Dylan. We are in the process of finding a home for him. Though he has been a foster for several months now, he has had a bunch of problems that have prevented him from being adopted. It appears that this is coming to an end and that he is now ready.

James these are wonderful. I certainly hope he finds a caring home that will take as good care as you have.

James - lovely captures of Dylan. When I looked at the first one, I thought the grey bg was perhaps too light, but as I've gone thru all of them several times, I think it really works. Really nice lighting and DOF.

Thanks, All. We have really kicked this into high gear over the last few days. These were definitely different for us. Usually, I use tons of hard light. These were all behind diffused florescent lighting...not my favorite. We used a hand held video light to add a little bit of warm light on the last couple. To me, it is very obvious when I added the light, however, the nice thing with the gray backdrop is that it is very easy to color correct afterwards. LOL, believe it or not, they were photographed on top of one of my refrigerators.

Thanks, Julie. We may have a few bites on him already for a permanent home. We brought a copy to our veterinarian's office last week, and have been passing along the word to people we know and trust.

Brilliant work on these!
I love orange tabby's, and this is a particularly cute one!
Love the expressions and nice depth of field.
Best of luck in finding this beautiful creature a home!

Good news, everyone! Dylan was adopted last week by a wonderful older couple who live on the Upper West Side. They look like they will be an absolutely delightful family for Dyl.

Good news indeed. Great pictures too! Cats seem soooo much harder to photograph than dogs.
