Hey Everyone,

This is a heron that I had the opportunity to photograph while we were in Moro Bay (sp).

Thanks
James

Great job, Jim. They are one of my favorite birds to watch and photograph.

Thanks, Bill. I am not a birder, and was not even looking for any. :P I was out looking for sea otters (which I did indeed find, even though the conditions were crappy). I sat watching this guy hunt for about 20 minutes and eventually the bird came in range.

James

Hey Bernard,

I hear you. It is definitely very difficult to do. It requires so much patience, and ability to sit still. LOL, I am always on the move...even in my sleep. Any slight movement seems to spook them. I was very fortunate to be able to shoot this guy - of course, he was more intent on food than he was on me. :P

James
