...Randy...that first one is really good. Thanks for sharing. May I ask a couple of silly questions? How do you track the bird when it is in flight? Are you just hitting Servo and hoping for the best?

Jim,

Here are the settings I use:
1). AI Servo
2). High-Speed continuous shooting
3). Spot metering / Only center focus spot active

As I understand, using AI Servo, the camera will focus starting on the center point, but will keep your moving subject in focus if you are depressing the shutter 1/2 way even if the subject is out of the center point. I use 8GB compact flash cards, so I just use high speed shooting where I just depress the shutter and take shots until the buffer fills (about 8-10 raw). I use Canon cameras so I don't know how other manufacturers implement Servo in their cameras.
