Just a note....this is in Part III of Jamie's interview, but she will be teaching a class at WPPI this year.
__________

WPPI Master Class at the annual WPPI Las Vegas Trade Show and Convention 2011: Tuesday February 22nd: 11:30-1:30: 2 hours in length.

Topic: Pet Photography: a practical guide to photographing dogs on location:
So you’re getting those dog clients, but what do you do with them ‘in the field’ now that you’ve got them? In this class you will learn how to get great variety in the types of shots captured, how to define your ‘photodogstyle’, what lenses to use with dogs, how to use body language to get the behavior and ‘look’ you want, and what types of shots + products pet owners buy the most of. (Please note: this class is focused on documentary style pet photography in natural light; photographing pets in a studio will not be covered.)

Thanks, Penny. I am now posting Part II. I think that folks will be really intrigued with Part II. There is some real 'nuts and bolts' material about running a business in there.

PS If anyone is going to WPPI and sees her, I would love to hear how it goes.

Once again, great interview Jamie and James. I love your attitude Jamie! You also give me hope and inspiration to continue to shoot natural light photos. While I love studio work, some animals just look and act better outside.
