Saw this little guy by himself at a picnic area at the west end of Lamar Valley, not sure where mom was but I'm pretty sure she was close by. We were in Yellowstone from May 22nd thru the 27th, had a great time as usual.

Aren't they adorable? A few years ago, I missed a birth by probably 10 minutes. I arrived in time to see momma licking off the calf and another female eat the placenta. It still sticks with me today.
We love this time of year in the park all the babies are out playing. Though we didn't see any bear cubs this year and still haven't seen any elk fawns, I'm sure their pretty well hidden from all the predators.
