The branches and white sky are distracting. I could have Photoshoped the branches. But I come from a commercial background where I make the image perfect before I shoot it. Not always an option in nature. Any advice on this issue?

Not at all. As far as I am concerned, you were fortunate just to be able to fill "the memory card between your ears.". Very nice!

Revisited the three babies three weeks later... they are out of the nest flying (although a little clumsy).




The last image had motion blur and I sharpened the heck out of it. Not the best.

The middle image is outstanding. Not much you can do to rescue a shot with motion blur. With so many good ones, there's really no reason to try wink.
