Just got back from a two week trip to Thailand to photograph birds. Here are a couple I liked:

Brown-throated Sunbird

While eating lunch we spotted this beauty feeding in the bushes just across the road form the restaurant.

Spoon-billed Sandpiper

This is one of the world's rarest birds, seen here wading in a salt evaporation pond. They are probably headed for extinction with fewer than 100 breeding pairs left.
This was the only one of this species that we saw in the middle of dozens of plovers, knots and other sandpipers.
This was shot from distance of over 100' and I cropped it very little to emphasize its loneliness.
