Beth Milbourn provides a tutorial on Mirror Imaging which she learned about from a fellow NWP Photo Forum member (John Olson), using Affinity Photo. This provides a really new way to look at our nature and landscape images, allowing us to turn them creative art pieces.

Step 1: Open a file in Affinity Photo

Step 2: Go to filters, distort, mirror

Step 3: You will see 1 mirror image, which in itself can be a cool effect

Step 4: Slide the number of mirrors. This shows 9 mirrors.

Step 5: This shows 16 mirrors

[Linked Image]


Step 6: I changed the input to 135 degrees for a new design. You can make an amazing number of designs by changing the number of mirrors and input/ output

Step 7: Press Apply in the lower right hand corner (see the screenshot above) and you return to the main Affinity Photo screen and you are ready to export
