Notice the frost on the background trees, it sure was a frosty morning.

Hey Nolad,

Have you been hitting all of the parks? Every time I see a post from you, you appear to have gone some place new. That is pretty awesome.

Did you spend any time in the Black Hills while out at Mt. Rushmore?

James

Yes, we spent a day or so in the Black Hills. At Custer we were chased off the road by buffalo. Latter we went to the Badlands

I know this is going to sound a bit nit picky but was there a particular reason that you posted a horizonally flipped image of the Mount Rushmore Monument? Because of it's noteriety and wide spread exposure the fact that it's flipped and glaringly obvious?

the picture you posted of the badlands has a serious red cast to it. did you do this intentionally, or is that pretty much the way your shot looks. i just have the very small file available to me here, of course, but i ran a very basic curves adjustment on it, & to my eye, gave it a vast improvement. i would think with the full-size file that this image could be made quite nice. did you shoot it in RAW, or jpeg? hope you don't object to my playing with your file - i attached my play with it.
