Sometimes the best moment of a sunset is the very last moment. Waiting it out can be a challenge for lots of reasons. Occasionally the effort is rewarded with a glorious gift, as if the Sun is saying, "You stayed with me until the end and I thank you for it."

Yeah, I hear ya. The sky lit up like you see here for a very brief 20-30 seconds or so. It was a dynamic situation with the light so I shot right through it and managed to get a couple of shots at the very zenith of color and intensity.

I appreciate that you guys liked it. Great sunset shots are a dime a dozen, but when something unusual happens like this (and I've patiently waited and waited and waited) I... well, I get sort of emotional if you know what I mean.
