I ran across these guys while out in Barstow, CA. They were all over the place and of course I had to pick one up. This guy was very soft and I wanted to keep him, but I put him back.

I guess you don't get too many of these in Pennsylvania. There's nothing like having one of these crawl up next to you on the couch while you're watching TV. Happened to me many years ago when I was living in the San Fernando Valley in LA. Needless to say it was a startling experience but we let it go in the open land close to my house at the time. I see them now and again in the open lands near our home in Carlsbad and out at the Anza Borrego desert. Amazing arachnids.
