Although this shot was taken with an ordinary 400 mm prime, most modern DSLR's work fine with telescopes by purchasing a "T-ring" that fits your lens mount, and an adapter that screws onto that (using a standard T-thread) to fit most any 'scope. You can also just buy an adapter that drops into a standard 1.25" or 2.00" eyepiece holder.
Focusing is sometimes a bit difficult, although you can focus on bright stars and then point the scope at your real target, as I did with my comet shots.
