Hey Bud,

Beautiful photographs. I will second Randall's statement about the road runner. Very very nice. My favorite though is of the cardinal. It is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Randall and James,

Thanks for your comments! We were driving throuh a neighborhood in SE Arizona this summer when my son spotted the Roadrunner in a homeowner's front yard. We pulled over and watched it stalk a lizard for more than 20 minutes.. fascinating. The bird itself was very lizard-like in its movement and stalking although it didn't seem to help with the hunt... it finally gave up and moved on.
The cardinal shot is one of my favorites. We typically have 7-10 of them here in the winter and I was fortunate enough to catch this perfect male in a very nice pose.

I've noticed some differing opinions here on embedding photos in posts and linking to them. Is there a strong preference for either one?
