Well I'm finally getting my Death Valley pics processed. Here's one that covers just about all of a beautiful morning at Zabriskie point. 14 panels from a Nikon D300 at 35mm FL.

great pano, almost like I am there with all the shadows and textures. One quick question,,is that a person about in the middle of the pano, just a little dark spot. Not trying to be picky,, just wondering, very dry and desolate, not hard to figure why they call it Death Valley, DAve

Dave,

You do have sharp eyes. Yes that is my human figure in there for scale. Unfortunately, downsizing for the web just made him into a distracting nit. In the full resolution pano you can actual make out the human form. I guess for the web, I should clone him out, but even the nit gives you an idea of the expanse.

Thanks for the feedback.

Beautiful, George! The extreme shadows look very attractive, and seeing the whole scene is a treat.

Hey George,

Thanks for sharing. You are much more ambitious than I am making the panos. I still have a difficult time putting them together in PS to my satisfaction. You did a very nice job with this.

I am still working my way through the different shots. I am going to post a few sand dunes in a bit.

Cheers
James

James,

You gotta get a pano program (I use PanoraMaker4 Pro by Arcsoft). They just don't stitch things by registration. The good ones will also blend trasitions and adjust exposure and they also will even bend things a little to get a good stitch. This one and my 360 degree ones of the dunes and Badwater were all done with PM4pro.
