John,
the first shot is of Sundance and the second is of his mom, Cassidy. Let me give you some feedback on the images as posted:
1. you did a great job in capturing the image for both of these. The shot of Sundance really shows off his headpiece and the shot of Cassidy shows her intensity as well as her femininity.

2. both images look very "hot" to me -- lots of color saturation and lots of sharpening. To me, they are a bit unnatural. I think you can tone them down a bit in post-processing so they look a little more film-like.

3. the color balance, on my monitor, is also not quite right. The blacks look a bit blue and I'd cut down the contrast a bit overall.

4. Nice job cloning out the lead in the Sundance photo.

Having seen the proofs, I can tell you that you did a great job capturing all the guys -- the stacked shots of Rowdy are outstanding and the headshots of Annie are very nice. But the shot of Crash with the big Chick is the prize and I really think you should post it.

Great job, John. Thanks. It was fun for all of us.

Jim

The black is blacker in your revised version. It was a bit blue in the first. Though, I did like the deeper red of the backdrop. nit picky though.

I like the very sharp look, but, I like that sort of thing

John,
this is closer to "true" color -- the backdrop is hanging to my right and it is, indeed, that color. Good job taking the blue out of the image. I prefer this version.

Nice job. Cassidy looks lovely! Only 3 more weeks until puppies!!!

GReat shots!
I do like the Ps'd version better. Opposite of Julie, I like the softer look to the backdrop.
Crash, is classic golden with his woobie!

Woo-bie(Noun)- any item in a golden retriever's mouth, that produces a "WOOB,WOOB", instead of a "WOOF, WOOF"!
GReat shots!
