Composition/use of frame space -- Looking at the image there are great starting points but the lines to my eye do not flow smoothly. The main line that is confusing my eye is the right side of the pews

Colors/White Balance -- Warm overall nice feeling to it

Exposure -- only way to improve is to go for an HDR image.

Creative use of Aperture/Shutter -- looks like everything in focus for that's good for this type of shot

Perspective -- see above for composition

Creativity -- this is the one I am struggling with I did not see where this applied to the them of the site.

Emotion -- nice snap

Fiona,
I'm with Mark on this one -- the site is nature, wildlife and pet photography. Just where does an image of the interior of a church fit in with that?

With respect: one of the difficulties of architectural photography is avoiding perspective distortion. The remedy (and it is oftimes a difficult one) is to keep the camera body back parallel to the walls. Otherwise, as the perspective recedes, there is that "falling over" look. I would suggest if at all possible, gaining a significant amount of height so that you can keep the camera perpendicular to the floor/parallel to the walls while keeping everything you want as subject framed in the shot. You might actually need a ladder for this one if the church has no balcony of the right height.

Composition: I'm distracted by the pews at the left, even though your intention was to lead the eyes down to the end of the scene. Again, more height would get above the pews and get them out of the shot.

Otherwise, the quality of the light is lovely, and the exposure is good! You obviously used the requisite small aperture. I assume the camera was on a tripod.

Now — let's have some wildlife and nature scenes that fit the theme of the site. Welcome to the board!

Leonard
