Hello all. I'm new here and will feel my way around until I'm comfortable. I'm always earger to learn.
I've found few photographic forums that don't start arguing about brands and "real" cameras. I applaud anyone that simply revels at the art of the captured image instead of the device used to capture it.
I'm no longer a professional photographer, preferring only to please myself. I make my collection of images available for free to all.
I started my collection after moving to Oregon from South Carolina 28 months ago, saving some of my favorites on
http://bobmielke.smugmug.com for family & friends back in the southeast. My three passions, motorcycle touring, photography & computers go well with each other & allow me to range far in my hunt for that perfect sunset, mountain or shoreline.
I hope to find a home here where every nitpicking thing is not critiqued and fussed about. I learn by seeing other's work & hope I can make a contribution in a small way.
