My wife, dog and I took a little walk around one of our local mountain parks this past Sunday. Our poor dog is still very tired from the walk Here are a few shots from there.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Hey Tom,
this is a very nice series. Great saturation and nice water effects. I like them all both technically and artistically.

So, I guess Fall has come to NC? We're going to be traveling North in a week or so and I'm hoping to have some foliage to shoot. I'd be delighted to have anything like these.

Jim

Hey Tom,

These are all great! Thanks for sharing. The 4th and 6th are my favorites. They are very nicely saturated - yet very real looking.

All great...some a little saturated for my tastes, but it isnt over the top. Nice study in compositions using diffrent angles to get your story across.

Well done!

Yes Fall is coming but I live in northern South Carolina. Right on the boarder. Very close to Charlotte NC. Anyway, the real fall colors don't start happening around here until around the end of this month. I'm going to try to go back to that mountain again around that time.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Hi James,

I was also happy the way they turned out. It really was a perfect day. There was a light overcast which really helped not having any real bright reflection off the water. I really think that was the key for this shoot.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

I know I do tend to over saturate at times. It seems hard for me to use just right amount. Sometimes I just can't tell when it is enough or not

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Hey Tom,

Are there specific places you would suggest shooting in the North Carolina area? If I could steal away for a weekend, for example, towards peek, where would you go, knowing that I have a 10 hour drive back to NYC. :P

Hum, I would have to say the Blue Ridge Parkway but that is a little further north and higher elevation then where I'm living so the change may be a little sooner there. Down around my area there are many parks with small mountains. I really like South Mountain. Others are Crowders Mountain, Kings Mountain. If you do a search for parks in NC and SC I'm sure many will pop up. With photos also. I suggested Blue Ridge because it is a little closer to you.
