Here is a recent shot of Rocky (before his surgery), yep, I know WB is a little off.



He went and had his staples removed today. All went well and Doc says he looks great. Also received good and bad news. Bad news is the tumor was malignant. Good news is the surgeon and the oncologist said it was a very slow growing type and they believe they got every bit of it. Because of that, they are not recommending Chemotherapy. They said 3 month ultrasounds followed by a 6 month ultrasound to make sure they is no recurrence, but they feel the prognosis is excellent.

I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. It means everything to us and the support has been great. It made a difference!

Sounds like overall the news is really good. We'll still keep little Rocky in our thoughts though. Tough lil guy.

I am glad Rocky is recovering. Anyone who has ever loved a dog knows what you are feeling right now. Cherish every minute you have with him. I wish you the best.

overall, it sounds like the news is good. As long as Rocky is happy, that's all that really matters.

We took Rowdy with us to the Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio last week and he met a Chihuahua that fell in love with him. We kept explaining to the two of them that it probably wouldn't work but they just kept licking ears. Folks would walk by and take photos. I left the camera in the van .

Thanks Jim, will do. He rally is acting like a puppy again. I haven't seen him like this for a couple years at least so it makes you wonder how long this has been going on without our knowledge.

Your story of Rowdy and the chihuahua reminds me of my wife and I. About 29 years ago I (like Rowdy 6'3" 205#) and my wife (like a chihuahua 5'2" 105#) met. She kept licking my ears and everyone said it wouldn't work out. Here we are 29 years later, so tell Rowdy he does have a shot!

How exciting to see Rocky doing so well. It must be all the love at your house. Especially all that ear licking!

We refer to our pups as our kids, and they have no idea they are of the canine persuasion........If I told you just how spoiled and loved they are, you may get nauseous, particularly our Wally. That's where my name came from, wallyspop. Wally is a Dachshund Chihuahua mix. Tilly is a Mini Dachshund (Registered name Matilda the hon), Daisy our other little Chihuahua (Dixielands Daisy Mae), and the Rock (Arizona Sue's Rock - a - doodle - do). Rocky's grandma was a champion.
