Julie,
it's great to finally see what you look like -- quite lovely, by the way. The kids look great and the "kid portrait" is really nice.

As for the Halloween photos, there is one very unhappy hot dog in that group .

Thanks for sharing. They made me smile. And you look the way I expected that you would.

Jim

Hey Julie,

Thanks for sharing! Very nice photos all. LOL, I did a shoot this weekend and two of the dogs came dressed up as hotdogs as well. LOL, if it helps any, they did not look happy either. :P

Julie, I have a question for you about your lighting/post processing. I notice that on your backdrops that many of the photographs are significantly lighter in the middle than on the edges. Is that from post processing, or do yo have your light that narrowly (perfectly) focused? When shooting pets, I am always scattering the light as much as possible and am afraid to do this - yet your photos look just p-e-r-f-e-c-t.

James

The edges are burned. I either vignette or burn almost all my portraits as it brings the focus in. I just try to not make it look vignetted or burned! I also sometimes soften the backdrop some too. Not too much because then it looks funky. I also patch tool out wrinkles. I hate the wrinkles!

I don't know why I broad lit myself. I meant to turn more toward the light and be short lit, but, adding the dogs in makes that tough. Its hard to get everyone exposed correctly AND light people in a flattering manner. I am going to a workshop in Nashville next week and that is going to be my main focus!!!!

Really nice. I especially like how you have just enough shadow on the white seamless to keep them from looking like they are floating in white space.
