I have not posted any pet shots in quite a while as I have been doing more people lately then pets. This is from a shoot in the summer that the client finally got around to placing his order. This client has 4 miniature Schnauzers and I went to his house to take the shots. Since the shoot over the summer, 2 of them, the 2 in the second shot have become very ill. They don't think they may make it long so he was inspired to get the prints ordered now. The first image below he ordered a 24x30 on canvas, and the second he ordered a 16x20 on canvas. I delivered them this morning and when he saw the final prints he cried for a good 15 mins. Makes me want to get back to doing more pets again. I felt so good that he was pleased and it meant so much to him!

Very very nice. Its a wonderful feeling when your images have such an impact.

We'll be rooting for the sick pups.

Thanks for the compliments. It was a challenging shoot with 4 of them, and they did not like to stay still. I also had very little room to work. Overall worth it when it had such an impact. You don't get that reaction doing people portraits..........

Bob,
very nice images and great story. I hear you about the feedback from shooting people -- I guess everyone thinks they look better than the camera sees them .

These will be so nice to have when the old ones eventually leave. It's such a good feeling to know that your work will help memorialize living beings that have been loved so much.

Nice job and thanks for sharing it.

Jim

Really lovely job. It really is wonderful when we touch the people through photography. That experience will be wonderful for them and for you.
