Nice headgear

Not a big bodied mule deer but he has nice looking antlers IMHO. My guess is he is about 4 years old so will his body should be larger next year.

I had seen him the day before heading towards a farmers field so I picked me a spot to ambush him. I got out smarted again, he showed up about 30 yards closer to me than I expected. He was to close to use a wildlife call so no real curious looks from him. The wind was good and so was my camo so he just worked his way over to the field for dinner.

Hehe in the 2nd he really seems to be GRINNING. Nice looking boy.

Nice photos. I think I like the first head-shot. Oddly, I don't have many photos of mulies. I find the light on on the image because the left side of the antler is lit, but the left side of the head is in shade...also, the other side of his face has a nice catch-light in the eye. Curiously, what was the environment like where you took this (LOL, besides snowy?)?
