Been too busy to post any images lately, so I thought I'd put something up. This is a 5 month old male chocolate spotted Ocicat. I like to shoot these wild-looking cats on natural colored backgrounds. In this case I chose black, even though you tend to lose the tip of the tail (which is always black).

Ocicats love to play and are very active. They make great pets. Although they look 'wild' they are not hybrids or jungle cats, they have their roots in domestic breeds: Abyssinian, Siamese, and American Shorthair.

Beautiful cat. I love the jungle spots. The background was a good choice. I also like how you lit it to dark gray

Great cat; great shot; very nice lighting. Would love to see it larger. How did you light it?

Sorry about the size. If I post it bigger I'd want to watermark the heck out of it, so I chose smaller with just my signature and copyright notice.

I used a main over the lens axis, a side light to help define the fur, a hair light to pop the cat from the background, and a background light.

Nice. It created a very nice 3D effect -- the cat really pops off of the background.
