These are two from Dante's View. Both shots were taken with the EOS20d. The second shot was photographed and I did not compensate to make the horizon perfectly straight. Somehow, I prefer it this way.

James I like the sky in that first one. Seeing this shot after it was taken, I would like to see the center cropped, that gold cloud is awesome.

Thanks, Jeff

Splendid images, James! You were fortunate there was enough moisture in the air for those cloud formations. Beautiful job of exposure.

I'm really enjoying your "Death Valley Days"!

Best regards,

Dick:)

Hi Richard,

Thank you very much for the compliments. That was a hard week for me. I learned so much during the short time I was out there with Steve and the guys. The time spent was invaluable.

Now, I just need to get off my butt and write the story.

James

Great images. That cloud is awesome. What would it look like if you cropped in more?

Hey,

When you mention the cloud, I am assuming you mean the first photo? I had already cropped the cloud in the first shot. I probably cut down about 30% to produce this image. I think that if I cropped much more, I would probably lose detail.

James
