I went back out to the barn with my camera near sunset the other day and captured a few. After the last time I was out at noon, and battled harsh lighting conditions, I thought I'd give late afternoon a try. I've also been trying new PP techniques like graduated filters etc...
C&C welcomed and encouraged, especially on the PP work.
Gosh I love photos of horses. I especially like that spotted one in the first photo. I think the first three photos are especially attractive, the light is nice, cropping good and nice blur to the background. I think lighting was getting a bit more harsh in the last two and distracts from the subjects.
The whites look blown in the last of the first set. Use a longer lens if you are going to do equine stuff. 100mm or longer. Way too much distortion under that with large animals
Thanks for sharing. The 1st and 3rd are probably my favorites. I agree with Julie that some of the others do look a bit distorted...specifically the 5th shot in the first set. Having said that, nice work over-all.
