Last year, Sundance was the star of our 2009 Calendar. This year, it's the Annihaus Blue Suede Kids our litter of 5 born to Ch Acosta's Blue Suede Shoes (Presley) and Ch Annihaus Midnight Sun (Juneau) on November 11. This shoot was truly a hoot with five 5-week-old puppies, 4 puppy wranglers, 4 full-grown Rottie critics and a beleaguered photographer. I've never laughed so hard in my entire life. BTW, no puppies were injured in any way during this shoot
.
Also, this year we did very little PS work except to adjust the backgrounds. The shots of the puppies are what we captured in the camera. The setup was low-key and I used my two AB400s set up about 45 degrees from center about 10 feet away -- my typical portrait setup. We used a sofa to support the puppies and had two tables pushed against it for more "frontage". Then we draped everything in black and started shooting. It took us 2 days to complete everything and the puppies had a ball.
